Christmas Morning Reveal

At 2 years and 8 months, we were able to see the magic of Christmas through her eyes.  Everything that we did this holiday season was THE COOLEST EVER and she was just so into it.

She asked Santa for a Belle baby doll and for a dollhouse.  Good thing Santa has good listening ears, because she was a pleasantly pleased little girl on December 25th.

Belle was a huge hit!

Santa was good to mommy (external flash for my camera!) and daddy (beats by dre, studio ed!) too, because he allowed us to provide a pretty spectacular Christmas for our girl (and each other) that was so much more than gifts under the tree.

And that was just Christmas at our house.  Our families spoiled us to the max this year, more on that a little later.

More than any other year, I am feeling very blessed for where we are in our lives.  I am even more aware this year as well, of our 3’ tall, blue eyed, talkative blessing because she lights up my world every single day.  And I am hopeful that we will have another blue-eyed babe with us next year at this time.

I told you there would be video

I know, videos are kind of a pain in the ass.

But for real you guys, this is CUTE!  Remember the last one I posted? No? I would watch it because again, CUTE!

But, I SUCK at taking video so it’s all shaky and ridiculous.  I apologize for any nausea, vomiting or vertigo that may be caused. Also? I have no clue why it is sideways and not vertical….

So, try and ignore all that and wait for the shaking, wiggling and raising of the roof.

Girlfriend has moves, I am telling you!

Friday Night Leftovers: back in the game

  • I have missed Danifred’s awesome FNL’s the past few weeks. But I am back. You are welcome.
  • I wish I could bullet point all my posts.
  • Maybe I will.
  • Yesterday we went to a toddler dance party at the library(my kid is the one inappropriately trying to make out with the orange balloon…why did they pick the strangest thing she has ever done to put online?).
  • We had a play date today also. Same friends from yesterday plus Jen & Olivia. (or really, Jen & Olivia plus all of us since we crashed their house!)  It was really fun, but WOW 4 busy toddlers can make a girl tired. (G has been napping for 2 hours and counting).
  • Story time starts on Monday again.  I am really glad, it will give us something to do!
  • We need to get back on a schedule from the holidays.
  • Jewelry business is picking up! Yay! If you want info, let me know.
  • Speaking of jewelry business, I am going to a rally (like a convention?) next weekend, it should be pretty fun.
  • Other business? I hate applying for jobs and NEVER HEARING BACK.  Just tell me I am too awesome to work for you (or that you hate me, whatev) or SOMETHING.  I WANT to work, you wouldn’t think this would be such an ordeal.
  • I like meal planning. I do not like being the only one to eat dinner.
  • In my email today was information about graduation. This is my last semester of school! Woot! (now, if I could get my ass in gear to get this research finished we would be in business….)
  • It’s snowing again.

So She Thinks She Can Dance

Gianna has been dancing for us for months now – before she could even stand she was bobbing her head to the beat.

She has taken a note from her mama’s new favorite show – SYTYCD and taken it to a new level.

If you need a smile (or a good laugh) check her out.

Please note that she knows she is going to rock it out, so she claps for herself in the beginning. Followed by deep concentration on her skillful choreography.  Ended with a stumble and graceful recovery.

(this video is 2 minutes long, longer than I would normally post but guys – it is HILARIOUS!)

Every person is a person, no matter how small

It happens every ten years.
It involves every person in the country.
2010 census.
I know that a lot of people think it’s just annoying and pointless. But it’s not.  We have been talking a lot about the importance of the census numbers in my public health classes.
The census determines so many things, important things, like how many congressman each state/district gets.  Ohio has had quite the decrease in population in the last ten years, to the point that we could lose significant congressional representation.  These numbers are used to determine who gets funding, research and all kinds of other things.  Things that influence my future as a public health representative.  And yours as a citizen of the USA.   The only way we will get an accurate count is by YOU, yes you readers, completing the survey.
A lot of people are hesitant to share their personal information with the government. I get that.  But all you really need to answer is how many people live in your house. That’s all.  The rest of the information is a bonus, and very helpful.
Every person counts.
So make yourself count.

**this blogging opportunity brought to you by Wpromote & business2blogger. I did receive  minimal compensation for posting the video.  All other opinions and information is mine.**
