blogosphere:inreallife

So, have you ever met anyone from a message board or a fellow blogger in real life? like for real?!! You know all these things about them and have probably seem all of these pictures from all kinds of personal moments in their lifes, but never seen them in the flesh. Weell, none of my "true" IRL friends blog, but many of my "internet" friends blog --- which makes them, what? my blogging friends?! When I first met them IRL, my mom especially though I was going to meet some super stalkers or something and gave me a really hard time about it, but now I think she is ok. Husband figured, they are women - what harm can they do besides chat your ear off?!!

here we are at xmas... you might recognize at least one famous face - like jen and then there's a few "new" bloggers: jill, shereen, kelly, kristie, stacy, tiffanie, and kristin - they are quite entertaining as well! and they are my friends, so i think they are pretty awesome....
here's a more recent picture of my IRL internet friends!

speaking of internet and friends, a few wks ago Alison at the baby crusade had this contest for her blogoversary and i won this awesome cd - it has some of my most favorite songs on it!! [how did you know?!]

meeting these ladies has been great - and i can't imagine not being friends with them now :)

have you become IRL friends with people you met through blogs or message boards? does your family think you're crazy for doing so?!!

  2. So far, I've become "real life" friends with one woman who I met on an IF forum. I'm hoping to organize a get-together for bloggers in the L.A. area.

It's very cool that you've met so many great ladies!

  5. I can't wait to meet more of my internet friends. Hope we can meet soon at a GTG. It's weird try to explain internet friends to RLF friends. They don't get it. Oh well. At least we all have each other right?

  8. Hola from NCLM!

I have developed some of my best friendships through web-boards. At first my husband didn't really understand it, but I think he's come around.

I've also met a few of my internet friends in person...only after long & detailed internet communications though! :)

While I think the internet is very dangerous, especially for children/naive. I think it is a wonderful way to connect to people who you have so much in common with!

    Take care!

  9. I've always really enjoyed meeting IRL blogging friends, although it's been hard sometimes to schedule it all. My husband totally supports me with it. It's wonderful to connect with people.

  10. I wished that I lived closer to bloggers! I met my best friend on a message board. We literally live a thousand miles apart but manage to get together one or two times a year. We've been friends for nearly 7 years now. I've met several people from my surrogacy message board through the past few years, but I haven't met any IF bloggers IRL yet.

  11. How groovy!
I have not had the pleasure of meeting any blogger friends IRL, but I would love to!
Whenever I get Braces Bunch mail my husband raises an eyebrow, but he totally understands.
